We're a group of people, brought together by our love of Beanies, who want to bring some additional pleasure and comfort to terminally ill children and their families. We're 190 members strong, spread throughout the UK - and growing.

We currently support 26 full time hospices dedicated solely to children all over the UK. We also support 6 Hospice in the home and Day care respite centres. These hospices are all part of the National Association of Children's Hospices. In the last three rounds of donations we have been able to donate £9000 in cash donations, 58 signed Beanies for the hospices to use at their own fund-raising events, and over 1000 Beanie Baby toys for distribution to the children and their siblings! That is a lot of smiles - all thanks to the generosity of the people who support CHhugs.

We also have our CHhugs Wish Box which contains signed beanies and other items which are available for donation, upon request, direct to a child. Already we have made some wishes come true - 'Jeffrey' was "Gobsmacked" when he received his Pillow Pal signed by several members of the cast of Emmerdale, his favourite programme! 'Hannah' was delighted with her Robbie Williams signed Beanie and 'Emma' was over the moon when she received her Beanie specially signed by Lisa Scott Lee along with a personal letter from Lisa!

No charges are made for any thing we do - we, the members, cover our own costs of printing, postage, phone calls and everything else that's necessary.

Why Beanies?
Beanies have an appeal that spans all age ranges: they're soft and squoodgy, small enough to be carried around by children, are of superb quality, they're durable and just downright gorgeous! There's everything imaginable from bears and bunnies, cats and dogs to frogs and dragons - something to comfort any child.

You can donate one Beanie, two Beanies or a whole collection if you can! There will be a local collector in your area who will be delighted to receive your donations. Tell your friends, colleagues, anyone and everyone about CHhugs. Why not join in and help us? Or organise your own collection for CHhugs?

If you're a retailer, you could have a CHhugs Beanie collection box in your shop and ask your customers to donate Beanies. Or you could donate Beanies yourself.

What happens to my Beanies when I donate them?
Firstly you can specify if you would like them to go direct to the hospices, or into our box ready for sending out to be signed. Whichever you choose, all you have to do is include a note with your name and address, also your e-mail address if you have one, and we can keep you in touch with where your beanies go to, be it a hospice in your area or to a celebrity to be autographed.
All the Beanies that we get signed are donated, and as they will be non mint when they have a signature on them, the condition of the tag is not important. And we also accept all types of Beanies, all Ty products - Beanies, Boppers, Buddies etc, as well as Disney Bean Bags and others.

Beanie Babies bring joy to so many children and adults. The situation these children are in may be terrible but with your help we can bring at least a few more smiles into their lives, so please let's all do what we can.
